Hello,
I have a Star Destroyer Placeable model that is causing a toolset error when placed in an area.
Anyone had this problem before?

Hello !
Where did you get this model ?
This message means that there is an internal error.
There can be 2 reasons :
- the name of the model is not the same in the 2da.
This means that the game cannot find the model.
- The model has too many polygons. How many are they ?
This could happen above 5 000 polys.

If I remember correctly i found the model on a sci-fi model site...
More than likely it is the number of polygons, I'm not very familiar with modeling...
How could I go about reducing the number of polygons?

To rteduce the number of poly, you can use the optimize modifier.
But I don't believe it will be enough ...

Thanks, but Indeed I had already used the optimize modifier and it wasn't enough.

I suggest that optimize modifier is not always enough. Indeed I personnaly do manual optimization, so I Manage the amount of detail in each zone.
I suggest also you explode your model to elementary faces nd then do a weld vertices so that you have no isolated vertex and no useless face because sometimes faces are too small to be seen, but exist and take space.
